Pyotr Lukyanenko

Pyotr Lukyanenko is a contemporary Belarusian artist working in various genres of easel painting. The central place in his art is taken by narrative paintings and compositions. They combine conceptual approach to a subject with academic relation to an object.

Narrative paintings of the Soviet time illustrate deep contrast between the official state ideology and the real life. In latest works the artist comprehends dramatic changes happening in post-communist countries since 90-s.
